Pins!

I bought an over-sized vintage Levi’s jacket in Portland and have been mildly obsessed with buying pins to put on it. I can’t decide which ones I want! So many foodie related ones as well as adorable things like “Book It” and “Grape Soda” from UP. Loved that movie!

Here are some of my faves that I found –

Where to Get Them: Book It, Grape Soda (a la UP), Frenchie, Don’t Text Him w/ Tear, Sriracha, Sushi.

Sugarfish

I’ve been uber addicted to sushi lately. I’m pretty sure I had it 5x last week. It’s just so simple and delicious. Can’t ever get sick of it.

When I’m feeling tired/lazy/etc. I postmates Sugarfish to my house. It’s such a nice treat and they package it so beautifully. I always get the “Trust Me Lite” and order an extra offer of Scallop Sushi. Absolutely divine!

It’s such a great deal $25 including tip for all this food. I highly recommend it.

Sushi Gen – DTLA

Finally tried Sushi Gen after years and years of fawning after Yelp reviews and Foursquare recommendations. It was about a 45 minute wait on a Monday night so I put my name in and went to grab drinks at Wolf & Crane. Upon our return it was about a 5 minute wait before being seated. The inside feels very Japanese which lots of wooden booths. The staff are attentive and helpful.

I ordered the Sashimi Dinner (Chef’s Choice) and Fatty Tuna Sashimi. The Fatty Tuna was melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness. Luckily enough a few more slices came along with the Sashimi Dinner Combination. The fish is fresh, delicious and really gives you a taste of a plethora of different kinds of fish. My favorites were tuna and spicy tuna. It turned out to be WAY too much food but absolutely worth the price. Definitely my new favorite spot in Little Tokyo (Hama Sushi comes a close second).
